Project Synopsis
HMS Pinafore is possibly the most popular operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan. A story of love, honour and duty, it uses a combination of irresistible melodies and witty lyrics to poke fun at English class society. FVMT’s version will retain all that and add a layer of big band style. The conflict between young and old is mirrored by the competing musical styles. The old folks like traditional opera but the kids want to swing!
