Project Synopsis
Alex Brown has spent her life running—from loss, from loneliness, from the echoes of a mother who was never truly there. With nothing but a camera, a tattered satchel, and her childhood teddy bear, she wanders into a small town, seeking shelter in an empty church. There, she meets Moe—a quiet, eccentric young man with a goldfish named Goldy and a reluctance to let anyone in. Drawn to each other’s solitude, Alex and Moe form an unspoken bond. They share silent moments, stolen glances, and the kind of companionship that feels effortless—until it isn’t. As Alex opens herself up, hoping for something real, Moe hesitates, caught between his growing feelings and his fear of commitment. His inability to choose her mirrors every heartbreak she’s tried to escape, and Alex is left with a choice of her own: stay and risk another inevitable goodbye, or leave before the pain sets in. On a rainy night, with her heart heavier than her belongings, Alex walks away, stepping into the unknown once again. As the storm rages, she realizes that love, no matter how fleeting, has left its mark—and this time, she’s the one deciding where her journey leads next.

Description
Moe is a very avoidant character that doesn't let anyone in. He's grieved the loss the father. Anyone that gets close to him ends up leaving. In the scene that will be provided, he is faced with the enviable question "what are we?" He doesn't want to lose the love of his life but can't deal with his trauma from his past.
