Project Synopsis
SUCK is the latest passion project from indie writer/director Ty Javos, blending horror, comedy, and the all-too-relatable agony of modern dating. The story follows Mia, a hopeless romantic with a habit of diving headfirst into toxic relationships. This time, her friends have had enough. Determined to save her from yet another emotionally unavailable scumbag, they gear up for an intervention. But there’s one small problem… Mia’s new man isn’t just a walking red flag—he’s a centuries-old vampire with an ego bigger than his fangs. As reality (and blood) gets sucked out of the situation, Mia’s friends must decide: Do they risk everything to pull her out of this deadly situationship, or let her get ghosted—permanently? With its sharp humour, biting social commentary, and plenty of blood-soaked chaos, SUCK puts a fresh, fanged twist on the horrors of modern romance.
Additional Information & Safety Protocols:

COVID-19 & Health Safety: We will follow all necessary health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe set environment. Hand sanitization stations will be available, and any necessary precautions will be communicated prior to filming.

Stunt & Effects Safety: Minimal stunt work may be required (e.g., light physical interactions, simulated biting, blood effects). Professional guidance will be provided to ensure actor safety.

Special Effects & Makeup: Actors may be required to wear prosthetics, fake blood, or vampire fangs. All materials will be skin-safe and allergy considerations will be taken into account.

Intimacy & Boundaries: Any close physical interactions (e.g., biting, tension-driven scenes) will be choreographed with consent-based direction, and an intimacy coordinator will be consulted if needed.

On-Set Atmosphere: We prioritize a professional, inclusive, and respectful set. Any concerns regarding safety, boundaries, or accommodations will be addressed with care and confidentiality.

Character 1
Claire
Age
20-30's
Gender
Female
Description
(SUPPORTING) Mia’s best friend and the designated voice of reason in her chaotic love life. Pragmatic, fiercely loyal, and armed with a razor-sharp wit, Claire has seen Mia fall for one walking red flag after another—and she’s not about to let it happen again. Sarcastic but never cruel, she masks her genuine concern with biting humor. Whether it’s calling out nonsense or hatching a rescue plan, Claire is always two steps ahead—she just never expected to go up against an actual bloodsucker.
Character 2
Katya
Age
30's
Gender
Female
Description
(SUPPORTING) The popular hot mess of the group—chaotic, confident, and always the centre of attention. But beneath the theatrics and bottomless mimosas, she’s also the most intuitive and fiercely protective of Mia. Katya has a sixth sense for bad decisions (probably because she’s made most of them herself), and she’s not about to let Mia get sucked into another disaster—especially one with actual fangs. Dramatic? Absolutely. But when things get deadly, she’ll be the first to throw hands… or holy water.
Character 3
Adam
Age
20-30's
Gender
Male
Description
(SUPPORTING) The ultimate gay best friend—flamboyant, quick-witted, and always serving looks and brutal honesty. Adam thrives on drama (as long as he’s not the one dealing with it) and has perfected the art of delivering cutting one-liners with a cocktail in hand. He fully supports Mia’s right to make bad choices, but even he draws the line at dating a vampire. When things take a turn for the supernatural, Adam is torn between running for his life and sticking around just to say, "I told you so."
Character 4
The Viking
Age
30-40's
Gender
Male
Description
(ACTOR) The unexpected star of karaoke night at the pub. With a voice that could wake the dead (literally), the Viking Singer channels epic power ballads like it’s their birthright. Clad in casual leather and a surprising amount of charisma, they deliver performances that leave the crowd in awe—but with zero ego. They’re the kind of person who’ll humblebrag about their vocal chops, but never turn down a pint or a chat. Whether belting out a rock anthem or serenading the night away, this karaoke legend has no idea their next big hit is about to be... surviving a vampire attack.
Character 5
BACKGROUND PERFORMERS
Age
All ages
Description
(BACKGROUND ACTORS) A lively and eclectic mix of pub-goers, café regulars, and casual night owls, all wrapped up in the energetic chaos of a bustling local haunt. From the group of college friends debating their latest dating disasters to the quiet corner booth where someone’s definitely eavesdropping, these patrons provide the perfect backdrop to the unfolding drama. Whether they’re sipping on craft beers, gossiping about the latest scandal, or pretending to ignore the commotion, they bring the vibrant, unpredictable energy of a place where anything can—and usually does—happen.
